Timofei Dokshitzer, 'Melody in F' (Anton Rubinstein)
Timofei Dokschitzer (1921-2005) was a Russian trumpeter, and professor at the Gnesins Musical College. He was the solo trumpeter of the Bolshoi Theater. He is considered one of the greatest trumpeters of all time.
Anton Rubinstein (1829-1894) was a Russian pianist, composer and conductor, who founded the Saint Petersburg Conservatory. He was the older brother of Nikolai Rubinstein, who founded the Moscow Conservatory.
As a pianist, Rubinstein ranks among the greatest 19th-century keyboard virtuosos. He became most famous for his series of historical recitals, seven enormous, consecutive concerts covering the history of piano music. Rubinstein played this series throughout Russia, Eastern Europe and in the United States.
The Melody in F, Op. 3, #1 was composed in 1843, when Rubinstein was only 14 years old, but it demonstrates a maturity beyond his years. It's a true gem of the Romantic era, and this stunning performance by Timofei Dokschitzer gives this piece the treatment it deserves.

Espectacular
A velvety breathing control and an exceptional musicality shaped the great art of this great musician. Technically he was a monster, but often he was able to play ballads in the smoothest and most delicate way. I started to listen to him in the last '70s and never stopped until now. A superb trombonist.
Dizzy was a phenomenal arranger, Hyunsu. Actually it's very easy to write for great musicians, they only need the melody to improvise and stroll around... Have a blessed day with Jesus.

I saw Maurice Andre' LIVE with the Toledo Symphony twice! I bought a used Piccolo Trumpet 🎺 in 1974. I won the Concerto Competition in 1975 playing Telemann "Concerto Sonata" which I heard Maurice play! I was STUNNED by his musicianship & technique! When i was a little girl i watched this film one saturday after noon with my Mum, when this music was played outside the barracks with the soldiers looking out the windows my Mum and i were both in tears at the beauty of the music. It still makes me cry now wish i could remember the name of the film. My Mum died when i was 17 . Whenever i hear this music it takes me back to that day with my Mu😢❤

I have forgotten how beautiful this piece of music is and it’s been so long since I’ve heard it but for some reason of which I can’t explain, I just wanted to hear it again and it’s still as beautiful and sad as it always was, but I can’t help feeling like it’s not the same as I recall but it probably is, just the time since I heard it or something like that and I see that Lou feringo is in the king of queens
